Week 4 - Thoughts

I'm so frustrated because I don't see where it shows the properties option when you right click on a picture in My Documents. I finished the concept map, but I can't get it uploaded correctly.

Week 3 - Thoughts

Thanks so much for all the help on putting tables into my uen pages. I think they really enhance the look of each page. It really helps to manage the position of the pictures as well.

However, I have had to load the additional images numerous times on my CultureGram page. The 3 extra pictures won't stay loaded into the table for some reason. And the images came from the Culture Gram section of the Pioneer Library website, so I can't figure out why I keep losing them.

I absolutely love all the links and search sites in Pioneer Library. The possibilities are ENDLESS!!! My only complaint is that there is too much to look at! I was on the site forever!

Love the class, learning tons!!!

Week 2 - Thoughts

I inadvertently missed the Sunday night deadline for this blog! I knew it would have to happen at least once this semester!

This week I have just gotten to touch on what it is like to physically make a page that my students will be able to use and learn from. I can't wait to master this because I intend to incorporate this type of teaching into my curriculum.

However, there are so many different sources to go through, so that is something I will definitely have to put a lot more research into.

Week 1 - Thoughts

This was a short week to absorb such a wealth of knowledge, but I managed to learn a few things. Technology has come a long way in a very short amount of time. The future possibilities and applications are endless. Ten years ago, no one could have imagined that we would have come as far as we have. And yet, here we are - surpassing any and all expectations where technology is concerned. Information and day-to-day dealings are instantaneous - news has become global, financial concerns have become global, and any fact to be researched can be found with a few keystrokes within a few seconds. What I do here in my little corner of the world can have a quick and direct effect on someone across the globe.

Technology has made us one world, interacting and reacting immediately to one another with as far a reach as can be imagined. We are no longer separate countries and cultures coexisting on this planet. Technology has intermingled us in such varied ways, that we really don't know where our personal life ends and another begins.

I can't wait to invent and discover all the different ways we can incorporate the endless forms of technology into our classrooms to help students reach their full academic potential!
